Isaac...

...is 8 months, 1 week and 3 days old.

...loves to wrestle his brother (and usually wins).

...is starting to have an opinion. And I'm not sure how I feel about that.

...is curious.

...does not love his carseat.
...may be experiencing some separation anxiety.

...is very impatient when he's hungry.

...has been waking up at night for no apparent reason. I'm praying it's just a phase.
...still loves bathtime.

...will always stick his hands in his poop when you change his dirty diaper. If you try to give him a toy to keep his hands occupied while you're changing his dirty diaper, he will stick the toy in his poop.
...let's you know he's finished eating by punching the bottle and/or spoon out of your hand.

...throws his head back when he laughs really hard.

...loves his daddy.

...has finally started to hold his bottle.
...still flirts with baby food, but has fallen madly in love with finger foods.

...still has no teeth.

...will chew anything he can get his gums on, including, but not limited to: wood chips, stickers, the dirty plastic covering around newspapers, shoes, his brother's trains, and dust bunnies.

...scrunches his nose when he smiles.

...thinks standing up is, like, the coolest thing ever.
...waves and says, "hi" with a southern accent.
...should have a sore face from smiling so much.

...is a percussionist extraordinaire.

...has a very effective technique of scooting around the house on his belly.

...totally wigs out when his helmet comes off.

...likes to headbutt things. Don't go in for a kiss unless you wanna come out with a bloody nose.

encouraging bad habits

Alex and one of his Christmas presents. I don't like to think of it as "playing with his food". I like to call it "culinary creativity".

My funny Valentines

If it weren't for a hacking cough and runny nose that kept him home, Alex would have handed these out at his preschool V-Day party this morning:

Instead, me and my boys spent a leisurely day at home.
