Labor Day in Eldo

We went to Eldo over Labor Day weekend, which happened to be Isaac's first road trip. He did great, as expected. When we got there, he had a ball chumming around with his adorable cousin Charlee.

Meanwhile, Alex was honing his t-ball skills with Grammy.

We also went to a fish fry at the Cheshiers. Alex showed Hyleigh how fun trains can be, and then challenged her to a game of "child-friendly" lawn jarts.

One of the highlights of the trip for Alex was getting to sing with Brother Sam, or "Brother Ham", as Alex calls him. Grammy gave Alex a CD of Brother Sam singing Victory Bible Camp classics such as, "My Gal's a Corker", "Little Tommy Tinker", and Alex's personal favorite, "She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain". We've listened to that CD no less than a hundred times, so Alex was psyched when we promised him that he'd get to sing with Brother Ham in person. Alex knew most of the words and gestures, and I think Brother Sam got a kick out of it, as well.

Thanks Sarah, I'm speechless. As Alison says, those pics w/Bro. Sam especially the last one, priceless. Several will be going in a frame and I will see to it that Bro. Sam gets them.
