NWA or bust

I woke up Friday morning feeling much better than the previous day, which is good because we had a long day of driving ahead of us. Our Altima is less than roomy once you cram two adults, one kid, and a dog's worth of junk into it, not to mention a ton of party decorations, so we were all kind of dreading having to make the trek without an ounce of breathing room. However, we were excited that we could finally turn Alex around to face forward in his carseat since he is now twenty pounds and one year old.

I think he thought it was kind of cool that he could actually see where we were going and that he could see us instead of us-in-a-mirror. Plus, it meant that I got to sit in the front with Tim instead of in the back seat with Alex. Of course, Timothy preferred having the front to himself rather than having to share it with me and Murphy and my king-sized pillows and snacks and dvd players and diaper bags and...

We decided to stay with the Primms instead of in a hotel because we love them and miss them and wanted to spend as much time with them as we could while we were in Arkansas. That and I blew a vast fortune on Alex's party and we didn't have enough money for a three night hotel stay. For real tho, we had an awesome time being able to hang with Seth and Joy, and Alex and Oliver loved to share their daily rituals, like waking up in the morning, brushing their teeth, and taking a bath (not pictured because I am an idiot and accidentally deleted some pics from my camera before I was sure they were on my computer).

After I made poor, pregnant Joy chauffeur me around Fayetteville all day on Saturday as I ran the rest of my errands, we went to the first b-day party for Alex's birthday buddy, McKenzie. It was at Gymboree and was lots of fun for the kids as well as the moms and dads.

The beautiful birthday girl.

Party people.

My folks were in from Peoria by the time the party was over, so us, them, and the Primms had dinner at Johnny Carino's before heading back to the Primms for some R&R. Unfortunately, the return to NWA brought about the return of a wicked sore throat, so I didn't get much quality R&R that night. Bummer since I still had a lot of things to do for the party on Sunday. More on that later...

You forgot to mention how my son wouldn't share any of his toys with your son without whining and being ugly...

And I'm very sad that you erased your bath pics - I think I only got a few cause I knew you were getting good ones! :( Not to make you feel worse or anything...

The bed pics are super cute! I'm so glad you took pictures this weekend, cause I'm not too good at that these days.

We LOVED having you guys here! I'm so glad you're currently poor and could not stay in a hotel so you could stay with US!! It wouldn't have been the same. Except you would've had a bed to sleep in...

Miss you, love you!!
