Mmmm, Toe Jam

Hmmm, maybe Alex should've been a contortionist for Halloween instead of a strongman...

His latest discovery is that his feet are even more fun to chew on than his hands. Of course, it is pretty much my fault because one night while he was taking his bath, I showed him how to do it because I thought it was "cute". The next day he realized he could do it on his own, and now I can't get him to take his toes out of his mouth.

In fact, they don't even need to be bare. He'll chew on his toes through footie pajamas or socks - his gums know no boundaries. Apparently his current post-nap routine is to chew on his feet until I come in to get him. This is how I've found him on numerous occasions after he's woken up:

When I discovered that he can soak a sock with slobber (say that five times fast) in less than two minutes, I started to worry that he was going to give himself a nasty case of swampfoot. Luckily there's only been some minor pruning of the toes. Nothing major. Yet.

Sometimes he'll even chew on his socks without feet in them.

He's tried to get his jaws around poor Murph Pup, but I think all the hair may be putting him off.

When he's not trying to chew something, he has been taking it easy...

Sleeping...

Spending time in his jumperoo...

Listening to some slow jams...

Hanging out with Dad...

Checking out what Dad had for dinner...

Pretending to laugh at Mom's jokes...

And blowing raspberries...
