He had his two week checkup this morning, where the pediatrician determined that he is a very healthy boy. The nurse measured his length and came up with 21 inches, to which I replied, "So...he's shrinking?" At birth, the hospital measured him at 21.5", so this decrease was quite a mystery to me. Apparently it wasn't a surprise to the nurse, who was less than confident in the hospital staff's abilities to get an accurate measurement. Regardless, he has grown almost an inch since the last time we were there, which was exciting to hear. His weight was also at issue, in that he has not yet regained back to his original birth weight - odd since I know how much he is eating (and poohing). The doctor wasn't particularly worried and gave us the OK to travel over the next two weeks, suggesting that we come back into the office for a weight check when we returned. In the meantime, I will be sure to pump him full of milk at every chance in order to fatten him up.

Two Weeks and Counting...

In one short week......his hair is lighter and he looks older :( I dont like that!!! And just because Alex may have a crossed eye, that doesnt make him a "poor lil evans' child"...or does it??? Maybe thats why Tim gave me that name :) Thats alright Alex, having a crossed eye is just fine :) See you guys really really soon!!! (6 hours to be exact)
Love the picture where his arms are crossed on his chest....sort of like a gangsta pose, but then I scroll down and see his little crossed eyes, which make me rethink the whole gansta persona (kidding!) :) Love his skinny little legs, but I can't wait till he porks up and he gets those fat thighs and chubby cheeks and he'll be smiling and laughing....now that is when the real fun begins. Oh, by the way....I love your blog. Alex is for sure going to have a great sense of humor when he gets older! Tell Vicki and Leah, Quinn says Hi!!
LOVE this post! We were absolutely DYING laughing at the cross-eyes pictures, but I'll let you in on a little secret...every baby does the cross-eyed thing - it's just part of their whole eye development...so don't worry :) Thank you for sharing them with all of us, because they are just too cute! I love the one of A frowning at Murphy, kind of like trying to figure out who this furry creature is...and I too loved the "gangsta" pic - that's exactly what Seth and I thought too! Can't wait to see him again!
